The Qatar MSK Ultrasound Course, organized by the Rheumatology Division at Hamad Medical Corporation, has evolved over a decade into a premier, EULAR-endorsed global event in musculoskeletal sonography.
Core Mission: To provide rigorous, hands-on ultrasound training tailored to practicing clinicians, with a strong emphasis on rheumatology.
1-First Course 2015 Inaugural course. Establishment of the foundational “Basic” curriculum for rheumatologists in Qatar.
2-second course 2016 Consolidation of the basic program, building local recognition and faculty.
3-third Course 2017 Course expansion. First introduction of an Intermediate level.
4-Fourth Course 2018 Secured first EULAR endorsement, marking a major step in international recognition.
5-fifth Course 2019 Continued growth in participant numbers and trainer faculty. Pre-pandemic peak.
6-sixth Course 2021 Successful post-COVID return (25-28 Nov) Introduced specialized tracks (US in SpA, Advanced Shoulder),Dual endorsement (EULAR & EFSUMB) secured.
7-seventh Course 2022 Major innovation (6-9 Oct),Launched the first joint-focused “Monographic Course” (Ankle/Foot),Formally became a 4-day multidisciplinary summit.
8-eighth Course 2023 Advanced skill mastery (6-10 Dec),Added pre-course simulation workshops (injection phantoms),Monographic Course on Upper Extremity + Cadaver lab.New Chronic Pain Intervention Workshop.
9- The 9th Course 2024 further expansion of advanced workshops and global faculty.
10-tenth Course 2025 Anniversary Edition. Culmination of a decade of educational leadership, featuring the most advanced curriculum and renowned international faculty.
